I'm confused on the 6-pin EATX12V_3 on page 1-29 in manual. My first email back from Asus said that the manual is wrong and to use a PCIE connector. I then got 2 other emails from Asus saying that the manual is correct and verified.
6-pin EATX12V is different from 6-pin PCI-E. 6-pin PCI-E will fit on the motherboard but 12V and ground is opposite from manual.
On the web some say use PCI-E 6-pin and others say switch wires on 6-pin PCI-E to match manual. Cannot find 6-pin EATX12V for my AX1600i.
Does anyone use this connection? What is connected to it a 6-pin PCI-E (12V opposite of manual) or 6-pin PCI-E modified to manual specs?

It’s terribly confusing. I asked the same question several times as well. Called tech support too. I have been using the 6 pin PCIe cable from the start as recommended by Asus tech support. Read through this whole thread:

Thank you for that information, some how I missed that post you linked, I'm grateful for the information.

Now I can have peace of mind using the PCIE cable to connect to my motherboard.

I have also the AX1600i and use the 6-Pin PCI-E and can confirm it works perfect 🙂
