Hi, sorry to bother, but I can't figure out how to identify gen 1 vs gen 2 on the drivers. I've been using it for a while prior to there being a generational difference, so I figure I'm probably gen 1, but I have the crosshair hero 7 x470 (non-wifi edition if that matters).

Re-download your Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) Gen1 or Gen2 (Recommended) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

The B550-E is advertised as having DTS Sound Unbound, yet the driver you've pointed to doesn't mention this. Is that correct?

Hello, I'm trying to help a friend get the latest drivers for their system as your threads helped me get the latest drivers and resolve some performance issues similar to the ones they're currently having, while my driver for the Z390 Gaming-F was easy to figure out, I'm not familiar with the abbreviated names/terms next to each driver category (RTK, DTSX Ultra, DTS AP, etc).
What driver best qualifies for the ASUS TUF B365M-Plus Gaming board?

There are different drivers for the DTS Sound Unbound, which is a different utility to other DTS versions (in terms of technology and licensing).

but my installation process seems to have stopped at

Processing inf : dtsapo4ultraAsusextensionpkg.inf

This part takes a very long time. I thought it was frozen myself. Just be very patient and it will eventually reboot your system.

I have a B550-F and supposedly it's Gen 1 but Mokichu recommends Gen 2 installations. I just used the Gen 2 install cmd and it's working fine so far. For those confused about the Gen 1 and Gen 2 thing, seeing Mokichu recommends Gen 2, just use the Install_Gen2.cmd file instead of Install_Gen1.cmd and that's it.

Why is gen 2 recommended? The more recent driver difference is only presets?

Except the virtual thing, but I don't need that. Should I go for gen1/2 @mokichu

@ ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards users & ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards users :

I'm starting to get sick of these Gen questions : Since Gen2 drivers are Gen1 & Gen2 motherboards compatible, thereby there is no more Gen1 drivers on the thread, so there is no more confusion. Those who do not agree with that just have to use the drivers from their motherboards support page.
