nice that you are back.

I have some questions that you might can answer:

- Is it possible to export and import settings within the Realtek Audio Console (or in another way)? If yes, how? Because experimenting with different drivers requires deleting the previous ones and having to change the settings manually every time is kind of frustrating.
- Is it possible to give speaker distance variables via keyboard or commandline? If yes, how? Because for now you can only use the arrow symbols via mouse, so you have to click waaay to many times to get your requested numbers.
- Is it possible to change the settings via config file or commandline (I could not find any path or file, maybe there are as keys in the registry of Windows)? If yes, how? Because the GUI is not a must for experienced users .

Sorry, I can't advise you an action or any other way to export the Realtek Audio Control/Console settings or to set settings by command-line.

That is sad . Aren't you allowed to or do you really do not know how to? If you cannot write openly you can write me via PM or I can give my mail.

Last question: Which driver do you recommend for a ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING mainboard?

There's nothing secret about it, it's just that I don't want to make you try things without knowing exactly how the settings are saved (editing saved settings of a UWP app is much more complex than .ini file of a Win32/Legacy app).

Why try if you know exactly how it is done? Please tell me.
Is it via registry keys? Tell me. It doesn't matter for me how complex it is.

Because nobody knows exactly except the Realtek software engineers, and all those who think they know it is pure speculation and random attempts without knowing the ins and outs. Please don't insist anymore ...

Please allow me one last question for today: Why do they keep it so secret? I mean there a millions of apps with import/export save files etc. Why is it a "problem" for Realtek? It shouldn't be a big deal imho. This kind of functions could be easily added by Realtek anytime soon or not? I guess this is not an "special" or "dangerous" or "forbidden" feature that no other app has, almost everyone has it except Realtek. Or am I wrong?

You ask me if it is possible to save or extract the settings of Realtek Audio Control : As you can see this is not possible, otherwise we would not have this discussion. But you ask if it is possible to do it via a hack, to make it simple and avoid going into I don't know what debate : No.

I have not asked anything about a "hack" (I never will). Just a simple official "where can I find the config file?" or "where is the path (or whatever it is) of it?", because it must be saved "somewhere", but okay.

Apparently you don't understand any of the concepts that are included in "driver" and software development...

The essential core of driver (components) code and software are closed source, which means the owner has the source code, and others don't. They have a commercial interest and do not share this with others so they can get rich because of their efforts/development.

So send an email to Realtek with your questions. They created and own the proprietary code for their products and @MokiChu 'only' assembles the components (closed source components from different vendors) and packages them in a working way.

Or you can take a course in software development and try to reverse engineer the UWP app :-)

I think none of you did understand what I try to tell. Maybe it is because of my bad english. I am sorry for this.
And it has nothing to do with closed source in the first place.
Again: I am not talking about hacking or anything related to it. Just an (maybe semi) official way.

Let's try with an example:
A closed source game from a commercial interested company.
When I play Counter Strike I can change my settings via GUI in the in-game menu. This settings get written into the file "config.cfg" and the path for the folder is "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg".
OR I can directly (without using the in-game GUI) go the the mentioned path on my OS and open the "config.cfg" file via any editor and edit the variables in there and it got saved.
Both ways are legit and legal.

If I want to export/import my settings from my PC to my Laptop or my freshly installed PC or anything else I just have to copy that "old" folder and add it later on in the same place of my "new" installtion.

Both ways are official (and therefore allowed). Nothing to do with hack or closed source or ...

For the above mentioned methods I do not need any code (or deep programming knowledge).

Counter Strike has been choosen as example. There are millions of (closed source) games/apps/software that has this kind of possibilities too. But surprisingly RAC is not one of them.

So the question is (still): "Where is that path for Realtek Audio Console config/settings?" and "Which file to edit/import/export?".

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.

I've also have the Z370-E and looking at the spec of the board https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards...pecifications/ it uses SS3.

After having many failed attempts with various drivers I came across this post, thank you
I followed the instructions to the letter from the ASUS ROG SS3 motherboards section but I couldn't get my version of Windows W10 Pro (x64 Version 1909 OS build 18363.836) to detect the Realtek output. I tried numerous times and was about to give up when I thought to try ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards.

Following these instructions I could get the Realtek output to detect even though I didn't think this was for my board? (not sure what unbound means)

The only issue I have now...
When I connect something to the front panel audio this takes preference over the speakers connected in the rear and I also do not have an option for Front panel audio is sound settings, that would allow me to swap between front and rear connections. I am also unable to download the Realtek software from the MS store, it gives an error 'Something unexpected happened' Code: 0x803FB005

Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.
