There is a technical reason for this auto restart : for example in certain cases, the installation of Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer is done in duplicate (which also occurs and especially with an install method via Setup.exe) because there is install order from SS3 Extension Driver (which then generates a request via Windows Update to find/download the correct driver and install it), and the install of the Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer driver itself. In order not to give Windows Update time to install a duplicate Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer after installing the SS3 Extension Driver (when it is already installed locally via the Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer driver itself) ), the restart must be done immediately after installing the drivers.

In the same way that some people need to cut their Internet connection during the CLEANUP process and others do not, this only happens in certain cases. So, for a particular need, you can modify the script according to your needs, but if you have a issue one day, please let me know first that you have modified the script.

PS : A person complained to me by PM that the automatic restart was not good because he/she was in the process of carrying out another install (software) in parallel and that this one suddenly was cut by automatic restart of the drivers install script. Friend, I want to say, that will teach you ... :

    - Never install any drivers in parallel with any other task.
    - I warned on the processes that there will be an "automatic restart when install is done".

You understand perfectly what i mean, It is exactly in this logic of simplicity/transparency that I want to do things and not make them complex/obscure.

@ Forza Horizon 3/4 users : Please check if you still have a crash with this new version of SS3.
Hey All, i tried it again with Forza Horizon 4, the issue is still there after the update to SS3

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that MoKiChU would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.

    Hi,

    1) Disable hibernation :
    - Right-click Windows Start button then click Search.
    - Search for cmd. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt and then click Run as administrator.
    - If/When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
    - At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off and then press Enter then close the Command Prompt

    2) Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column supported modes) with MSI Mode Utility (Right click on MSI_util_v2.exe > Run as administrator), then Apply, then close MSI Mode Utility & restart your PC.

It may sound ridiculous, but when I had my B350-F what I had to do was open the Realtek Audio Console each startup and click the test speaker button. It would pop the first time, then it seemed like audio was clean for the rest of the boot (including if resumed from sleep).

But alternatively, audio crackling and popping can be unstable fabric clock as well.

edit: should mention I did follow the steps for cleanup, and was running MSI mode.

Which version should I install for my b360-g motherboard? HDA or UAD. After deciding on these, should I download the "ASUS ROG SSx" version or the other.

    Hi MoKiChU

Really appriciate all your time and effort on these driver updates and install support, not sure if I've stumbled on an issue or quirk but I find using Displayport to my monitor can often give crackles and pops through it's built in speakers, but switching my monitor cable over to HDM1 2.0 resolves this.
Driver changes do not seem to improve, sticking with HDMI currently
