    Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from my UAD drivers thread.

If your issue still occurs, try with Microsoft built-in drivers by just following scrupulously your CLEANUP process, if your issue again still occurs, the issue is surely not at the level of the audio drivers, and knowing that you are the only one in this case to my knowledge, I don't think this is a issue with Windows 2004 itself.

Also, try to update your other firmware/drivers :

    - Intel ME Firmware : [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (Z170/Z270/Z370)
    - Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx)
    - Intel Ethernet Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/BT
    - ASMedia SATA : [DRIVERS] ASMedia SATA

My current driver will not uninstall. I have tried 4 times and it just will not uninstall from the apps or control panel. Why will it not uninstall?
Your uninstall and install instructions are net very clear for a novice.

I didn`t know the DDU removes Realtek drivers. I have used DDU a couple of times before when I did the GPU drivers. I didn`t reinstall any Realtek drivers when I used the DDU. Was there an option to check for doing sound drivers in the DDU? I have not noticed that DDU removes sound drivers as well.

    Hi,

Yes, of course, you just do not have to install them during the following of your INSTALL process. So :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS2 motherboard.

I just now downloaded DriverStoreExplorer.v0.10.58 and opened it.

I believe there is no "Delete Package" button. I do see a "Delete Driver" button.

I suggest post #1 be edited accordingly.

    Thread updated.
    Hi, MoKiChU!

Unfortunately, the version 2.4.17.0 say it's not supported on my motherboard (Maximus VIII Hero).

The version 2.2.38 installs and works just fine.

    I'm using driver v6.0.8967.1.

Thanks for bringing these updates to "old" boards.
