Well it depends, depends on the bugs or what ever the driver are fixing.
The installation of the drivers are not hard to do. Click on a file and then after installation reboot the computer all done.

As I stated some are not so simple. I had to do some weird stuff to get most of these to work lol. How about the BIOS updates though? We seem to have the same mobo from ur specs, I have yet to update mine from whatever it came with stock. Do I need to update that if I don't exactly see any issues currently?

I’m recommending to update bios as it’s has new microcode and the BAR function etc.

BIOS Version 1003 is newest right? ALSO, can I install the BIOS using the EZ Flash Utility (it's easier for me than using a USB)? And should I update my Intel ME Firmware before or after the new BIOS?

Yes, the 1003 are the latest. Update that trough EZ Flash and then update the ME Firmware don't matter which order you do it in.

Hi,

You can see the version of the package in your installed apps (Windows Settings > Apps).

If you want see the drivers versions, the easiest and fastest way is to use Driver Store Explorer (because the devices are different according to the motherboards) by looking in System devices at the Intel .inf ending with system and which have the field of the last column Device Name filled.

Note (from Intel) : Intel(R) Chipset Device Software uses an unusual date for the devices it is targeting. The date 07/18/1968 is symbolic - Intel was founded that day. The reason this date is used is to lower the rank of Intel(R) Chipset Device Software. This is necessary because it's a supporting utility that should not overwrite any other drivers.

Sorry but "Driver Store Explorer" report always same old version visible from Device Manager (10.1.16.7) on my asus rog strix z390-e gaming, why?
What is the method to update chipset driver?

I wanted to make sure I have the latest version of the chipset drivers (and not just those) because I am trying to fix a problem.
When the Turbo bios option is enabled playing Quake Champion (Full screen 1920x1080) the pc restarts to the intro screen before the match starts or at the end before the final stats.

If I play 1366x768, in window mode, the problem does not occur.
If I play 1600x1024, in window mode, the problem not always occur.
If I disable the Turbo the problem never occurs.

The PSU (enermax infiniti 720) emits 2 beeps which means
1. Power supply abnormal, protection circuit activated.
or
2. Connector terminals are short-circuited.

Have you some info about this problem?

The Intel Chipset Drivers having nothing functional, I confirm that this will not solve your issue.

Turbo is an original feature and is not equated with overclock, you can leave it enabled.

On the other hand, there are 2 things which are activated by default on high-end ASUS motherboards which are assimilated to overclock and which I advise you to disable : ASUS MultiCore Enhancement & XMP optimized by ASUS. So :

ASUS MultiCore Enhancement Auto/Enabled : ASUS optimized core ratio
ASUS MultiCore Enhancement Disabled : Original core ratio from Intel

XMP I mode = ASUS optimized XMP profil
XMP II mode = Original XMP profil from memory stick manufacturer.


Follow this process :

- Go in your BIOS > Press F5 (Default) > Press F7 (Advanced Mode) > Extreme Tweaker tab :

Ai Overclock Tuner : XMP II
ASUS MultiCore Enhancement : Disabled

- Press F10 (Save & Exit)

full update until now no issue no blue screen etc but some tip on the next time i prefer an instruction for not experience people to how to check the version of those things before the update and i run the xmp II mode
