Mokichu
I used to have this pretty cased out, but recently went to Asus site to download and install latest Drivers for my Maximus XI-E and not sure if I got it right:
- For MXI-E what are the correct Chipset, MEI, SATA and FW (?) I need to install and in what order?
Im asking as since I did this I dont think Im getting quite the performance I should be when running CPU Bench (Cinebench) on my OC'd 9900K ?
This list you provided above for the Maximus Z390 Hero is exactly what I could sure use for my Maximus XI-Extreme.
Thanks in advance, would very much appreciate it!!

Hi,
You need these firmware/drivers for your ASUS ROG Maximus XI Extreme motherboard :
[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (Z390)
[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)
- Intel Chipset Drivers
- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only)
- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :Drivers - 2xx/3xx
[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth
- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :Drivers - I21x-V (1.0GbE)
- Intel WiFi Drivers (Drivers Only) :Drivers - 9xxx/AX2xx
- Intel Bluetooth Drivers (Drivers Only) :Drivers - 8xxx/9xxx/AX2x0
[DRIVERS] Marvell/Aquantia Ethernet
[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (MB | Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx)
You have an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard, so :
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) from the first post of the thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.Last edited by MoKiChU; 12-13-2021 at 09:58 PM.

Observational note on the Chipset INF Drivers for the Maximum Extreme
Installing the INF off this thread, my processor seems to spend more time between 4.2 and 4.6GHZ
Installing Version 10.1.18838.8284 off the support site and it almost never goes below 4.8, mostly spending its time between 4.8 and 5.0

Scratch that, sometime after I get online and windows downloads something that causes it to never exceed 5.0 for some reason, prior to connecting I see it hit 5.1 often

On Z390 downoad page I see 10.1.18836.8283. On newer motherboard 10.1.18838.8284
I don't understand the difference, all drivers are same version

Hi,
It is that the device must be present but hidden (and not used as you can see it in Driver Store Explorer).
Follow this process : Press Windows key + X > "Device Manager" > "View" > Check "Show hidden devices" > "Sofware components" category > Uninstall "Intel(R) Management and Security Application Local Management" hidden device by right-click Uninstall device (Checked the box allowing to delete the attached driver at the same time) > Restart your PC.
