Sorry if this is a silly question but how do I confirm that the Intel Chipset drivers v10.1.19041.8307 successfully installed? The install ran ok but when I look in Device Manager and Driver Store Explorer I don't see any driver with that version number.
I have an Z370 Maximus X Hero WiFi and an i7-8700K CPU. In Driver Store Explorer, if I sort by Driver Version, under "10.1" I see
skylakesystem.inf v10.1.1.38 - Driver Date 10/3/2016
kabeylakepch-hsystem.inf v10.1.1.40 Intel 200 Series Chipset Family LPC Controlled - A2C9 - Driver Date 1/3/2017
skylakesystem.inf v10.1.1.40 Intel Xeon(R)E3 - 1200/1500/v5/6th Gen Intel Core PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 - Driver Date 1/3/2017
coffeelakesystem.inf v10.1.4.8 Intel Host Bridge/DRAM Registers - 3EC2 - Driver Date 7/18/1968 (I know this is the date that Intel was founded).
I think these are the chipset drivers. Should some or all of these now be v10.1.19041.8307? Also, there are 2 drivers named "skylakesystem.inf" - v10.1.1.38 and v10.1.1.40. If I click Select Old Drivers, none of these are checked. Does skylakesystem.inf v10.1.1.40 supersede v10.1.1.38?
edit - In Windows - Settings - Apps I do see Intel Chipset Device Software v10.1.19041.8307 so it does show the new version number here. Why don't I see this in Device Manager or Driver Store Explorer?
Thanks!Last edited by BillBittel; 04-18-2022 at 12:21 AM.

It is a very silly question, given you do not have an Intel chipset to begin with.

OOPS! You are right. I am an idiot. That is what I get for working on 2 systems at once. I have corrected my post to say I have a Maximus X Hero WiFi (Z370) and an i7-8700K CPU. I am not trying to install Intel chipset drivers on my Ryzen system. Apologies for the brain fart.

Hi there and as always, thank you very much for all your support.
Even if I don't comment or post often, I always thank you for every new update and assistance you provide.
I have a question regarding Windows 11: if a system can be upgraded to Win11 from Windows Update (and for example I see that my system supports this upgrade), is there a particular "how-to" on how to migrate also at a drivers basis with your packages? Is there something to do before and/or after the upgrade?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you MoKiChU for taking the time to explain this (again) and for providing the steps to correct the mistake I made earlier. I followed your instructions exactly and now Driver Store Explorer shows the 3 driver versions you specified, all with the date 18/07/1968. In my case, I am not sure if the drivers I had before were the result of a Windows update. I use CCCleaner on occassion. I know the program has trust issues but I have found that it does a pretty good job of updating drivers. I think it may have installed drivers that in this case were not the same versions that your link provides.
