How much to I nstall to get into the BIOS?

What is the lowest denominator that I can install and still get into the BIOS? At present, I only have the motherboard installed. I want to take it a step at a time to trace and problems.

You need one stick of RAM in recommended slot for single stick config....gpu...CPU (cooled and CPU fan connected) 24pin and 8 pin power cables

Rampage V Edition 10 - Error b6 (Clean-Up of NVRAM)
I'm booting a striped system. Only motherboard, CPU, 1 memory card, monitor, and keyboard. It stops at the "d6" error code.

I have been working with this setup for a month and no closer to success. Mt system is as listed with ROG.
