BIOS Maximus XI 1502

Anyone else have their Aura light up panel on their mobo no longer working after updating to 1502?

In the BIOS, it is enabled. But, it no longer lights up.

Hi there, I only have the multicore enhancement engaged (auto) in bios with xmp1, xmp2 does not work for me. Sometimes I do get a message to reconfirm memory settings since bios 1401 when I restart the PC, it happens rarely but when it does happen the PC shuts off during restart then boots up giving me the message to reconfirm memory settings (similar lingo). I ran memtest several times and all ram is fine. This only started happening with bios 1401, but like I said it is rare, but as for bios 1502 I cant even get to the desktop, bsod, done the usual clear cmos etc. So for now I am sticking with 1401 although it does have some teething problems for my ram Corsair LPX (64g)

What is your memory's advertised speed? It doesn't say it in your PC build.

I can also confirm similar observations in my system (Hero XI Wi-Fi, 9990k at stock freq., 16 GB RAM @3600).

With 1502 CPU started getting periodic load spikes resulting in temp spikes causing fan speeds ramp ups (very annoying). All happening under idle (desktop) usage - browsing, steam, wallpaper engine.

Reverted to 1302 - all back to normal.

Yep, another confirm here. Problems with 1401 and 1502 - back to 1302 and everything works fine again. Well done ASUS! The support is getting worse day by day, since years. My next motherboard will be from another manufacturer.

When idle, fans run at high speed for a few seconds and slow down again.

I'm not doing any OC yet, but recently I upgraded to 1502 from 1302 and within a short time I got a BSD. The BSD usually occurs when using apps like Skype, Zoom or Jamkazam. When not running those apps the system runs longer but will eventually BSD. I downgraded back to 1302 and everything is running ok.
So does anyone have any ideas about why this would happen with a simple bios upgrade?
I want to start OCing with the latest bios but I'm wondering about the stability of the bios before I start changing things.

1105 or 1401

1105 was the worst nightmare in existence on Maximus XI Extreme. Plus was blocking reverting back to 1005, took some jumps through the hoops to get it back.
Still on 1005 at the moment, the most stable OCed PC I've had in years.

It seems to be dependent on the person's setup. I would ask the question a different way like. What is the best BIOS builds with the least issues?

I tried again 1502 just to check, and again 9900k at 5 ghz on all core was stable at 1.26 with 1401 and continue to crash/freeze/bsod on 1502 even at 1.30
All settings are the same then with 1401.
I just checked to exclude a bad flash, but bo, it's the bios that is trash on this release (at least for me)

Also there is a really strange behaviour with CPU load or other stuff.
I am on a custom loop with 2x 240 mm rad with very good temp 26-28 C idling (23-25 during the winter) and never seen anything over 50 during gaming and nothing more then 63 during bench.
On 1501 with the same voltage and setting i could see 10C more idling and even more during load
