I wanted to give the bios another chance and tried it again - it failed. Iam getting periodic load/temp spikes up to 10C more then BIOS 130x. What does asus do with their bioses - it's a nightmare since versions/months across a lot of motherboards. Looks like Maximus or Hero isnt really "premium" anymore...

Well, I solved my issue with the RGB on my Strix mobo not working.

I unplugged the power cord. And then, plugged it back in.

    Viola.

Look at page 20 in the above ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming BIOS manual, it explains that XMP I is optimized by ASUS while XMP II is the default profile. I believe all ASUS BIOS have the same XMP I and XMP II profiles.

It was released officially today on the drivers page too. Grateful if anyone can share their feedback after testing the new 1602. Thanks!

Everything is working fine on my XI Apex system with Version 1602. I have been running the same Corsair 4600 memory since 1105, 1302, 1401, 1502.

Personally my system boots faster, runs more stable with each new BIOS version. I do not run any RGB lights or Armoury Crate.
