Intel ME update tool not working!

Hello,
when i try to update Intel ME with update tool i get message: Please check MEI driver is installed. I tried to do that manually that didn't work and i tried to put that on flashdisk and disable antivirus, that didn't work either. And i tried to remove it from device manager and than install it and it didn't work as well.
Please how do i update this to newest version ?

I also heard there are 2 updates to be done, one for drivers and one for firmware. Not sure how, there is only one update tool and drivers for download are older than these listed under update tool.

I have Asus Z390 Gaming-i

Thanks for help

Hi,

1) Update your Intel MEI drivers from this thread (you can also update your other drivers by the way) : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?117609
2) Check/Update your Intel ME firmware from this thread : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?119020

Btw firmware update installed successfully, but i have still old drivers:
11/04/2018
1815.12.0.2021

Wasn't that only software what installed Mokichu ? Because i see chipset software in Program and Features and it was small package only 2.5 MB. Btw are there chipset drivers without software ? I don't need software, i just want to update that for security. I downloaded drivers only package - strange. Btw i don't like installing Intel Management Engine otherwise, because it is known for causing input lag. But after installing these mouse feels better i think, it may vary per hw.

And i also made sure to close everything and disable anti virus software!

BUMP!
