+1,.. Waiting till November launch of Intel Alder Lake & Z690 was my original plan with upgrade to both DDR5 memory and the next gen PCI Express 5.0 interface expected to be in the mix with 12th gen. Looks like the hybrid big.LITTLE architecture of Alder Lake chips will work well with new hardware scheduler in Windows 11,.. based on Lakefield, Alder Lake-S testing earlier this year.
Newer, better, faster CPUs down the road are an inevitability. Seems plans for futureproofing when building a new rig is a rough go nowadays, 6 months after your build is complete they'll likely release a refresh and new mobos with firmware locked chipsets.Last edited by Braegnok; 07-05-2021 at 02:44 PM.

Yeah that's what competition does Intel has a little bit of catching up to do but that's why their 11th and 12th gen product cycles are soo close.
Honestly stoked at how good/stable the 11900k is compared to my 10850k for gaming.

you're saying that 11900K is a bit smoother that a 10th then?
initial reviews shown that in most of the games 11th is a little behind...

10900k/10850k had a lot of random crashes when highly overclocked for a bunch of games. Parity errors and what not occurred causing people to CTD intermittently. Even when stability/stress testing was stable and perfectly fine. Have a read: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...s-have-Changed
I can attest to frequent crashing in warzone haven't had any issue since I've been on the 11900k. The 11900k also seems to have better 1% lows from what I've observed.Last edited by morph.; 07-06-2021 at 02:52 PM.

That's what I thought at first Betroz but L0 cache/parity errors did intermittently happen for me even when I just reverted to stock clocks + xmp

@morph, saw in your specs that you have 2x16 4000c14 kit, but you’re keeping it at 3800
can you pass GSAT on XMP?*
or is it better for you 3800c14?*
probably paired with 11th you’re in the gear land*

Hello,
you can try loading Default Settings in BIOS.
As far as I know, and this my not apply to all motherboards,.. Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) is enabled by default which causes the "TPM Security" option to be disabled, since both TPM and PTT cannot be enabled at the same time.
So you would need to disable TPM Security to enable PTT Security, click Apply and Exit to reboot.
