Just adding my experience with BIOS v2002...
I've spent half a day testing everything from 0707 to 0804 to 0901 to 1003 to 2002. I apply the same exact settings every time but no matter what I do v2002 requires an additional 30mV-40mV Core Voltage to remain stable. I have to set the voltage higher in the BIOS, and HWInfo reports a corresponding increase in Die Sense voltage in Windows.
Not sure what the problem is but if you're having issues with you OC them maybe stick with 1003 for now.

The response of 1003 and 2002 for my OC is the same... I'm using Maximus XII Formula 55x3, 54x5, 53x8 52x10 (+2Boost OCTVB) - Adaptive 1.45v.
The only thing I noted was that sometimes I need to clear cmos when stanger things happen, but this is in any BIOS.

No issues on my Hero with 2002. OC is still stable, though I have modded the BIOS to use a older microcode CA for my 10700k. I found I did need a bit more core voltage with the newer E2 microcode that come with later BIOS

I just loaded 2004 beta onto BIOS 2, seems to be working fine.
Haven't loaded all my old settings yet or ran any benchmarks, as I wanted to Enable Resizable BAR than check Windows Device Manager to confirm "Large Memory Range",.. and it's a no go for the RTX 3090 at this point.
Will need to wait till Nvidia releases VBIOS updates for RTX 30-Series Cards in March for support.

Did someone run 32GB 4.000 CL15 Kit on a Maximus XII (2002) ?
Got some problems to get it GSAT stable.

I also noticed higher voltage but on VCCSA. On Auto it was 1.3v, on 2002 is 1.6v which is way too high. I believe its because of the new RocketLake. These chips will be even more power-hungry and most likely will need higher voltage across the board. BTW my Auros Elite board is using 0.5v less on the same overclock compared to my ROG STRIX Z490-F GAMING. The VRM is definately weaker on the ASUS board. 5.4ghz wasnt stable but at least i can game for few hours before crashes on the Auros. Asus cant. Disappointed provided ASUS is 40eu more expensive. Asus has better RAM OC though but the BIOS lacks options and major features of 10000s, like DMI separation when BCLK OC. Hopefully they will add more options, not just LN2 options I wont ever use. Its not a cheap board after all.
BTW there is new Beta Bios v2004
ps:
If anyone has unlocked BIOS for ROG STRIX Z490-F GAMING, pls let me know. I would like to remove the Microcode Mitigations as well. I dont understand why they dont put an option to On/Off these or at least to enable them if I want. A separate BIOS version will be grat too. @ASUSLast edited by n1kobg; 01-16-2021 at 12:29 AM.
