What I noticed is that CPU doesn't let XTU pin its frequency to the proposed value anymore. At 0704 and before, XTU was able to pin the CPU to a stable frequency. Now, the frequency is dropping when there is no work to do. At least those USB ports I used so far do work.

@anubis1127 can you take all your hardware off power, as in physically disconnect it? Then reconnect it after 5 mins. and try again.
@martin-dee so did you ram work as advertised with 707 and XMP? I'm actually considering getting the 4000c15 gskill on my MF but after reading your troubles am reconsidering...

Any word when 804 or a newer bios will actually be released? I've been having some major issues with my board, to the point of considering switching to another vendor.

Hm. One question that is a possible sider.

Is my GPU dying? All colors look kinda like 90s CGA, from the very boot.

    More info:
    - The card is running at x16
    - If I take screenshot, it has full color
    - Monitor UI is in full color

Is this some kind of effect that got triggered??

Answer: The DP cable needed replugging to the monitor.

    I didn't see this before.

Yeah, don't go for it, unless you are ready to spend an eternity in memtest and possibly return them. It doesn't work over here. I understand that i9-10900K may have too weak memory controller, as it is advertised as a DDR4-2933 CPU, but atm it is the flagship CPU for M12E, so if 4000 MHz CL15 is not supposed to work with it, why put it in the M12E's QVL? For Rocket Lake? Come on.

Perhaps you can try 2x 16 GB at 4000 MHz CL15. If there is such a kit.

With my kit (G.Skill F4-4000C15Q-32GTZR), I am at 3700 MHz CL14. That works with my M12E across multiple BIOS updates.

P.S. I am Martine. With an 'e' at the end.

Where is the Z490 Extreme update? The new BIOS has new overclocking options according to Intel. When you pay top dollar for an Extreme board, I would expect better service and priority handling. Thanks Asus.
