BIOS update 2201 for the Maximus XII Extreme appears to roll back and apply an older Intel ME version than the more current offering of 14.1.53.1649.

Make sure to reapply 14.1.53.1649 if you update your bios to 2201.

Someone with a z490 (i have a z490-F) has checked if finally with the latest bios the rtx 3070 is stable with the pci express gen4? For months I have had to use the tuf 3070 oc forcing the pci express to gen 3, since using it set to AUTO or gen 4 it crashes frequently

On Z490-F, luckily, Intel Ptt has no problem with 2201 and 2103

Pci Express gen4 with asus TUV RTX 3070 OC, bios v2 (94.04.3A.40.2B) still unstable and random reboot with bsd. Rock solid with Pci Express manually set as Gen3

Seems new 2301 BIOS does the opposite of the 2201 BIOS, Intel PTT is now enabled all the time and cannot disable it, it reverts back after saving and rebooting.. This is on a ROG Strix Z490-G.

It is enabled to support Windows 11, which requires TPM 2.0 (part of PTT firmware). So they enable it so it can be "Windows 11 ready", and presumably to save on support grief when Windows 11 is officially released.

I know why it's there but the option to disable isn't sticking. Re-Read what I wrote.
