Nowadays I only update my BIOS if the new version contains an improvement I need, generally the newer versions do not add new features I need.
Back when I was running 2x8GB kits, and overclocking memory,.. I would update often hoping for the slightest possibility it would improve stability and RAM support.Last edited by Braegnok; 09-02-2021 at 03:58 AM.

I saw somewhere people getting back to 0707 - as back then some stated that this is one of the best ("official") bioses for stability and ram etc.
I'm running 1003, no issues so far
I think I could go back even more if I don't need the RBAR stuff :P
anyways - noticed something few generations ago, can't remember about IX or X (those also had jumpers for LEDs), but for sure for XI... turning OFF all leds could lead to some 0.01-0.02V VCORE less =))
couldn't believe that still applies here, just checked this sh*t out)
by default I used to turn them off, but now having bling-bling DDR4 with crappy lights I said ok, let's have it all =))
for some reason couldn't pass GSAT no matter I was doing, had another Apex XII before "upgrading" to the miserable Apex XIII (which after three months I literally gave up and smashed it), and using the same processor, DDR4 kits and settings everything went south... remembered that I forgot to switch off the damn lights =))
I think for some reason at some point they really started to mess up having dedicated routes for lights or something...
this proves the Asus's state of the art craftmanship... Asus - pure incompetence at its best

Ahahaha, no, lol, it gives dumb asses no need to turn on TPM in BIOS, because it sets it to ON by default and no way to turn it off.
Rejoice, though, now you have always on hardware sypware active.
