MoKiChU - Thank you for posting the package contents. It looks like there are several new drivers at the bottom of the list. Are the last 3 drivers new and related to the 5800X3D? I am referring to the PPM Provisioning File Driver, the 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer driver (obviously related), and the USB4 CM Driver. I have never seen any of these drivers in earlier versions of X570 Chipset drivers.
Thanks again.

Thank you for posting these additional details. Sounds like none of these new drivers will affect my X570 / 5950X based system.
I have read on OC.net that AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.6b has imposed some limitations that the 5800X3D requires due to heat concerns that also limit overclocking and peak performance capabilities of other Ryzen series CPU's. I don't want chipset updates negatively affecting performance, which I don't think these will.
Update - I installed the Chipset driver package on my X570 system. Driver Store Explorer does not list these last 3 drivers so I guess they do not install on an X570 system with a 5950X CPU. Is this right?
Thanks again.Last edited by BillBittel; 04-09-2022 at 11:11 PM.

I get errors when trying to download the latest x570 chipset drivers from AMD. Lots have posted about the issue at AMD. It's hard to say if most with problems have Asus motherboards or not. Some at least do.
I run a 3950x with Crosshair VIII Formula.
I'm not sure about downloading AMD drivers from other sources, and a bit paranoid about problems.
Anyone with helpful thoughts, ideas, hugs would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

AMD Chipset Drivers install/uninstall problems
My rig has a Crosshair VIII Formula and a 3950X CPU. I like to keep everything as up to date as possible.
With this rig, I tried about a month ago to install the chipset drivers from the AMD website as I have always done. It would not work and a screen came up reading:
ERROR: Path 'C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Binaries \GPIO2 Driver\W11x64' Not found.
C: \WINDOWS\Installer\MSI4B92.temp
:Installs and uninstalls driver packages.
By default, the tool searches the current directory and tries to install all driver packages found.
Now, in my experience such problems hint something has gone wrong, maybe something big. And with such problems, you can tinker or what have you, but then down the road you can get more serious problems--and then you need to a complete reinstall of your whole system.
So what I did next was I went to the AMD site after a Google search, and saw more had this same problem, and at least one of them mentioned their motherboard was an Asus one. As for the others, there was no information.
I then sent AMD an email about it and that went nowhere. Hence, I just put the computer in the closet to collect dust.
Now almost a month later, after updating everything else on the system--the BIOS, Windows, the GPU etc, I thought I'd try again. I tried uninstalling first this time though, and also got an error saying: AMD Chipset Software Installer Cannot Proceed Because of Missing Files. AMD has a page about it and according to that page you just have to proceed with downloading the latest drivers and it should be fine.
But I did that, today, and again got that error page as outlined above starting with ERROR: Path.
Now I have read on this thread something to the effect that there are heat issues involved. Is this correct? And if so, does this mean the wisest thing now (and the ambient temperature where I live now can get awfully hot) is to just stuff this rig back in the closet?
Any help would be much appreciated.
