I see, so these won't work on X570?

EDIT: So these won't update the Bottom Device, but they'll update the RAID controller.

With this rig, I tried about a month ago to install the chipset drivers from the AMD website as I have always done. It would not work and a screen came up reading:

    ERROR: Path 'C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Binaries \GPIO2 Driver\W11x64' Not found.

    C: \WINDOWS\Installer\MSI4B92.temp
    :Installs and uninstalls driver packages.

By default, the tool searches the current directory and tries to install all driver packages found.

Now, in my experience such problems hint something has gone wrong, maybe something big. And with such problems, you can tinker or what have you, but then down the road you can get more serious problems--and then you need to a complete reinstall of your whole system.

So what I did next was I went to the AMD site after a Google search, and saw more had this same problem, and at least one of them mentioned their motherboard was an Asus one. As for the others, there was no information.

I then sent AMD an email about it and that went nowhere. Hence, I just put the computer in the closet to collect dust.

Now almost a month later, after updating everything else on the system--the BIOS, Windows, the GPU etc, I thought I'd try again. I tried uninstalling first this time though, and also got an error saying: AMD Chipset Software Installer Cannot Proceed Because of Missing Files. AMD has a page about it and according to that page you just have to proceed with downloading the latest drivers and it should be fine.

But I did that, today, and again got that error page as outlined above starting with ERROR: Path.

Now I have read on this thread something to the effect that there are heat issues involved. Is this correct? And if so, does this mean the wisest thing now (and the ambient temperature where I live now can get awfully hot) is to just stuff this rig back in the closet?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe you have or haven't fixed it yet. As mentioned above, run the uninstaller.
For me I had to disconnect from the internet and use driver store explorer and remove any AMD entries available for your motherboard. The reason for disconnecting after either a driver uninstall or in my case driver store explorer removal is that Windows will automatically install ancient chipset drivers. That becomes a problem when you go to update the drivers and before you could do that, Windows already had installed some old ones for you. Thus giving you the same error as above.

Mind you, not everyone experiences this, but since people do and I did and there aren't a lot of easy to follow solutions on google. I wanted to share my solution:
Step 1: Disconnect from the internet
    Step 2: Uninstall AMD drivers
    Step 3: Reboot
Step 4: Delete the AMD install folder on your c:\ drive
Step 5: Install updated AMD chipset drivers
Step 6: If that fails and you get an error, proceed to uninstall again and run driver explorer to force delete any reference to AMD drivers: AMD PCI, AMD GPIO Controller, AMD SMBus, AMD PSP Device. (Run Rapr.exe from the Driver Store Explorer)
    Step 7: Reboot
Step 8: Install the latest AMD chipset drivers(Should be successful this time)
Step 9: Reboot and reconnect to the internet

I advise you not to mix the drivers versions for AMD-RAID Bottom, AMD-RAID Config & AMD-RAID Controller devices.
