Does the G752 work with a Samsung 860 Evo?

I upgraded my G752VT with a Samsung 850 EVO, 2 years ago, and was looking to get even more space, and saw that the 860 has replaced it now in stores.

Just wondering, if this is still compatible. I am assuming so, but I want to be sure, before I spend the 1k on it.

2nd question, Let's say later down the track I buy a Rog Scar 3, can I install this same 860 Evo into that machine too?

What version Samsung 850/860 Evo are you referencing? The m2 or SSD model?

Both the Samsung 850/860 Evo SSDs are SATA III.

Both the Samsung 850/860 Evo Internal SSDs are m.2 drives.

The SSD's.

This is what I have in now: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Hard-Drives-&-SSDs/SSD-2.5-&-PCI-Express/59992-MZ-75E2T0BW/?memb...

Ok, SSD platform. Both the 860 and 850 EVO are SATA III interface. The problem you might encounter is the actual size of the different SSDs That 4TB 860 EVO is 11mm thick. From what I can read, the space in the ASUS Scar III laptop is 9.5mm.

Good Luck

Yes there is no difference between the 850 and 860 2.5 SATA SSD Physically so its a direct replacement. The 860 will have better Write speed and boot speed
According to the advertisement on Amazon the 4TB is 7mm also.
Also on the Samsung Specification page also shows all versions of the 860 2.5 SATA 2.5 including the 4TB to be 7mm https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/
