Joanne@ASUS,

You do know that ASUS has posted newer Realtek drivers for a couple months?

Hi MoKiChU,

for a long time I've been using 6.0.1.7829 as that was the latest version for my Formula VII, and I like to have Sonic Studio, so I kept using it over the simple realtek audio driver. Currently I have to disable the microphone ehancements, otherwise I'll get an app crash event:
"AUDIODG.EXE, Version: 10.0.19041.546"
NAHIMICAPOlfx.dll, Version: 6.3.9600.17246
exception code: 0xc0000005

So I assume the driver might be corrupted or simply too old. As the current Windows installation is clean and new, so I can rule that out.

Although I can live without using the mic enhancements, and the regular Sonic Studio speaker enhancements work fine, I was wondering if the driver from the first link is compatible with my system? Or if I can simply install a regular Realtek Driver and then run the "SetupSonicSuite_R2" that is in the file with my previous 6.0.1.7829 driver.

Sorry for any inconviniences. I appreciate your help.

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread (you are in the Notebook/Desktop-AIO thread).

You have an ASUS ROG SS2 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Cheers. Thank you very much!

Knock on wood, so far everything runs smooth, the mic enhancements finally work now without causing an appcrash, and I could import my sound profiles too.

One last question; Although Sonic Studio showed up in the Sound Manager by simply installing the realtek driver only, I still installed the Suite, since I assumed it to have necessary plugins. Now I noticed that the suite simply is another interface basically, so I went ahead and disabled the Suite from the autostart. Would it be save to simply uninstall the Sonic Suite? Since your Realtek driver seems to have Sonic Studio included already?
