Hi, I have a ROG STRIX TRX40 MB - I usually see an error "Controls the DTS audio processing object" in Reliability Monitor.
I believe I need to update the driver for that? I wonder which one from your links is right for my MB
Thanks!

Hi There,
I don't have an SS3 MB but rather a Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi 6 with the same drivers.
I don't know if you can help but I hear a low boom sound from my base spkr when I boot & Windows is not very fast to boot. Also sound doesn't react immediately.
I installed drivers 6.3.9600. I don't have a 5 channel sound box.. All I have are 2 good spkrs. I just bought this rig for video work but I would like to have reasonable sound. From what I heard the chip does have good sound.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the heads up. I used DDU to uninstall and removed .INF from driver store.
I figured as much about your warning regarding drivers. I was using the UAD drivers on a Z490M and they worked fine. This board is a new ball game.
I told the boys on Station Drivers that these drivers were for USB sound which is not the same at all.
It would be nice if you would share your updated drivers on Station Drivers (i imagine you know them) .
A lot of peeps would appreciate it (At least I do).
One last question, like I mentioned, I don't have a 5ch spkr system, only 2 good spkrs, but I like good sound .
Do I need :
Sonic Studio III
Sonic Radar III (Optional)
Install DTS Sound Unbound
Will any of these packages (if any) will help with my 2 spkr setup for quality sound?
Thanks again.

ROG Strix TRX40-E Gaming Audio Issue
Hi guys,
I noticed one day that I can't open Realtek Audio Console, Sonic Studio III. So I tried looking online for an answer but nothing could work. I followed the steps here as well for the newer Realtek audio drivers but I get the same message when opening Realtek Audio Console "Can not connect to RPC serivce". The thing is that the sound is working perfectly but it gets on my nerves that it's not working fully, also spatial audio now I can't enable it on my speakers.
Can you guys help me a bit, please?

I have a ROG Strix TRX40-E mobo. After recent audio driver updates, the VID & PID suddenly changed. It was VID_0B05&PID_1917 before. But now it becomes VID_0B05&PID_1918. And the SS3 & Realtek Audio Console no longer works (probably because PID_1918 is not listed in ExtRtkUsb & AVoluteSS3Ext.inf, thus related software components not loading).
In the device manager, there is a hidden "Realtek USB Audio" device that has VID_0B05&PID_1917. After removing the old drivers in the driver store, the hidden device disappears.
I found the firmware of Realtek USB audio got silently updated after updating the driver. The FW version now is 4.302.0000-0007.0000.
BTW the mic volume is extremely low (I have a high-end 3.5mm camera microphone, which works well on camera & iPhone & MacBook). I tried different versions of drivers and cannot get it fixed.
This FW update tool (https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/m...11-25_ASUS.zip) doesn't recognize my device. But I found another FW update tool provided by asrock (https://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?id=488) that can recognize my audio device.
I can even flash the asrock firmware and use the asrock drivers. Flashing the asrock firmware will cause the VID & PID to change to the asrock one (VID_26CE&PID_0A01). To roll back to the asus FW, I just install the latest driver here and manually load it in the device manager. It looks like the driver will update the FW when loaded.
