Can you please tell me which one I am supposed to be using, I think it's the dts unbound one but I want to make sure.

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.
Unfortunately I could never get this working, mic audio was just too quiet when using the sound card, I had to go get one of these headsets with a usb sound card inline and disable this Realtek USB audio in the BIOS.

Maybe I will revisit down the road once this is more ironed out with Windows 11 or whatever the issue is, you shouldn't have to install 50 things to get basic headphones and mic functionality.

there should be a gain slider for the mic if you go to the realtek control panel or into the advance audio window settings. i have to add 10 or 20dbi for my mic. it gets a bit noisy with that much gain, but not bad enough anyone on zoom notices.

I tried the gain option and it yielded no results.

Thing is, zoom never had an issue or complaint, when I joined a zoom session the other day I was way too loud (20-30+ db gain) and then zoom auto corrected it.

I think this has something to do with windows 11 and some new way they are doing audio.

Windows mic test only show single digits.

(Start - settings - system - sound - click on your microphone and then click start test)

And this is very similar to the results I get in teams, sometimes I will hear from people I sound fine and other times they will say I am way too quiet.

I know it's the sound card because I have two 3.5mm headsets I have tested and also have a Logitech USB webcam with mic built in and every time I switch to the USB webcam mic everyone says now I have echo but I sound plenty loud.

Was able to get a Razer Blackshark v2 same day from amazon and everything is working fine now. (uninstalled all the software and disabled Realtek USB audio in BIOS)

Honestly I wonder if I have any issue with my board, I can't imagine this being normal, if it is then shame on Asus for putting such a piece of **** audio solution on such an expensive motherboard.

I've never had any issues with Realtek solutions in the past though, which leads me to think this is just a new product (USB audio?) and driver issues with Windows 11 probably.

Was finally able to get some time to see what was happening with my low mic volume and I am pretty sure I was downloading the TRX40 version drivers on the first page. DUH

After cleaning everything up and downloading the correct drivers everything seems to be working and without all of the extra stuff the standard driver package brings.

Thanks for these custom install scripts to ensure everything gets loaded correctly.

    Hi everyone,

As reminder, you can determine for yourself what drivers package does your motherboard need thanks to these indications :

First, the hardware requirements, in order to be in the right thread :

[DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (Intel 5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40)

Hardware requirements (AMD - sTRX4) : ASUS ROG/PRIME motherboards with AMD TRX40 chipset.
[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

Second, the drivers package type :

So, if in your motherboards specs you see the words :

    - Sonic Studio III : You have an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard
    - Sonic Studio III & DTS Sound Unbound : You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard
    - DTS:X Ultra : You have an ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS:X Ultra motherboard
    - DTS Audio Processing : You have an ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS Audio Processing motherboard
    - DTS Headphone:X v1 : You have an ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS Headphone:X v1 motherboard
    - DTS Custom : You have an ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS Custom motherboard
    - None of the previous words : You have an ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME Realtek motherboard
