Hello
For software is any of this optional/Mandatory?
Realtek Audio Control/Console - Mandatory?
Sonic Studio III - Mandatory?
Sonic Radar III - useless?
DTS Sound Unbound -needed/beneficial?

Not having much luck with z690 Hero on a clean windows 11 install. The Realtek console will not open. Also rtkauduservice64 Just sits at around 10% cpu useage the entire time.
I tried the drivers on the asus support page without these 2 issues but being a older driver. *Last edited by Jozh89; 12-12-2021 at 12:15 PM.

Hi,
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :
You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hei!
I uninstalled all audio drivers and i am using now there standard windows drivers.
I have the problem now that windows update keeps installing "A-Volute - SoftwareComponent - 3.3.3.0" i cant get rid of it! installing it an using driverstore to uninstall works, but a cople of hours later it comes back into windows updates.
secondly under optional upates there is more; but they dont bother me much since i just dont chose them to install.

I'm having the same issue that Realtek Console isn't working and the RtkAudUService64.exe service is constantly running full CPU. This is on Strix Z690-A.
I've tried to follow the Cleanup procedure, think I got it all, still doesn't work. Any ideas?
