Hi, I have a ROG STRIX TRX40 MB - I usually see an error "Controls the DTS audio processing object" in Reliability Monitor.

I believe I need to update the driver for that? I wonder which one from your links is right for my MB

Thanks!

Hi There,

I don't have an SS3 MB but rather a Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi 6 with the same drivers.

I don't know if you can help but I hear a low boom sound from my base spkr when I boot & Windows is not very fast to boot. Also sound doesn't react immediately.

I installed drivers 6.3.9600. I don't have a 5 channel sound box.. All I have are 2 good spkrs. I just bought this rig for video work but I would like to have reasonable sound. From what I heard the chip does have good sound.

Thanks for the help. 🙂

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

If your question is how know the audio type of your ASUS ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi motherboard, you can see in your motherboard specs (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z590-a-gaming-wifi-model/spec) :

Note : For information, only ASUS ROG with Intel 5xx series chipsets based motherboards with ALC408x codec use Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD) to date, others ASUS motherboards with Intel 5xx series chipsets use Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD).

Thanks for the heads up. I used DDU to uninstall and removed .INF from driver store.

I figured as much about your warning regarding drivers. I was using the UAD drivers on a Z490M and they worked fine. This board is a new ball game.
I told the boys on Station Drivers that these drivers were for USB sound which is not the same at all.

It would be nice if you would share your updated drivers on Station Drivers (i imagine you know them) .
A lot of peeps would appreciate it (At least I do).

One last question, like I mentioned, I don't have a 5ch spkr system, only 2 good spkrs, but I like good sound .

Do I need :
Sonic Studio III
Sonic Radar III (Optional)
Install DTS Sound Unbound

Will any of these packages (if any) will help with my 2 spkr setup for quality sound?

Thanks again.

OK new problem,

I tried to install Realtek console but got this error

87819

Sorry for the French but it says that windows store ran into a problem.

I rebooted and tried again but no go.

Any suggestions?
