Hi can you guys check something for me, anyone with an ROG Z270 motherboard, preferrably a 9 code, 9 formula or a 9 hero.

Go into your device manager and take a screenshot or tell me what it says under these two chipset entries. I am interested in the General, Driver & Resources tabs.
- Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family SMBUS -A2A3
- Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PMC-A2A1

Also if you could open your "Add / remove programs" and tell me what your driver versions are for the:
- Intel chipset device software
- Intel management Engine Components

I'm having some issues and it would be helpful if you guys could report back so I can see if what Im seeing on my end is abnormal. THANK YOU!

OK I guess then can someone simply open device manager and tell me if they have chipset drivers loaded for:

-Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family SMBUS -A2A3
-Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PMC-A2A1

just need to know version number & if it states "no drivers are loaded for this device" or not please?

Mine reports "this device isnt using any resources because it has a problem" and Im trying to find out why

Device Manger shows Intel® 200 Series Chipset Family SMBUS – A2A3 and PMC –A2A1 have the same driver.

Driver Provider: Intel
Driver Date: 10/3/2016
Driver Version: 10.1.1.38
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher

However, support CD shows Intel chip driver updated to 10.1.1.45 and I could not find it anywhere in device manager.

Thank You but you didnt answer the second part of the question, I was hoping you could look under the "resources" tab and tell me what it
says for both SMBUS-A2A3 & PMC-A2A1.
See post # 2. Thanks!

If you want your PMC-A2A1to show something other than: This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem. Try overclocking using BCLK Frequency over 100 (Example: 100.1). Beware!

Hi sdmf74

I have the Maximus IX Code z270 motherboard and there seems to be some issue with PMC-A1A2. Although it's showing it has a problem, I'm not experiencing anything abnormal.

OK that was what was curious, I spoke to JJ and he didnt seem to know what the issue was & asked me to send an email with relative info but I never got a reply.

I was unaware the PMC-A2A1 had to do with BCLK overclocking. thanks for the replies!
