Asus ROG Strix x570-E Gaming and 1st Gen Ryzen

Is there anyone who has been able to get a 1st generation Ryzen CPU working with a ROG Strix X570-E Gaming? They are all listed as compatible CPUs with Bios 1409. I have had 0 luck getting my 1700X to work with this motherboard. I have tested 3 sets of ram, and it works fine with a 3600, so It seems to be only a motherboard + 1700X issue.

What errors were you seeing? I'm trying to get a 1700x running on X570-E Gaming. I've been trying to get one running and the most recent BIOS versions (the last 3 or so) give me a red CPU light with a Q-code of 04 (PCH initialization). Were you seeing the same error?

I tried contacting support and their only suggestion was RMA.
