BIOS 3006 and Windows 10- Version 2004

Has anyone who had issues with BIOS 3006 and who had high, stuck CPU clock speeds tried this BIOS 3006 with the new Windows 10 2004? And if you have tried it, does your system now work properly?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/info/replies. 😄

I don't have the same configuration but I think you have to use the bios with which you have the best experience

A few who had recently installed the new 3006 BIOS had issues where on all default BIOS settings our CPUs were stuck running at idle at 4200 MHz plus (9980xe normally idles at around 1200MHz) and getting CPU core temperatures at idle at 72 degrees C (vs normal at 35 or so) and rising up to into the nineties. In my case, my cooling did nothing to counter this either (also a strange problem). Reverting back to the previous BIOS rid us of these problems completely, but since 3006 addressed some stability problems we wanted it. My computer at the time was crashing with regular BSODs--hence the desire for a more stable BIOS. (All issues are fine now, with the older BIOS and addressing the other issues. Some of us though, like to have the peace of mind that comes with a more stable BIOS if it works correctly. I am averse to tinkering, too, if not needed, and have never tinkered with the BIOS except for minor issues).

I see , Look like ASUS BIOS team trying to optimized for support Cascade lake X as good as they could.
For our Skylake X / X Refresh SKUs they do their best optimized. You could notice from AIDA64 L1 L2 cache
latency compare to older revision of BIOS.

They may working for new BIOS now , during waiting next BIOS from ASUS BIOS team.
Use your prefer BIOS instead to correct those issue was the best choice for you.
