My G752VT optical drive went rogue

Hello, my Laptop is a Rog G752VT - GC040T. Bought in 2016. Since the 7th of June my optical drive isn't working anymore. It's still visible in file explorer and device manager showing no issue. But if I try to insert a CD, DVD or bluray, it tries loading them but then nothing happens. What can I do to fix it??? Thanks

OK. Is it easy to replace an optical drive in a laptop? Is there a tutorial for ROG laptops?

It seems easy
But I was wondering what kind of Optical drive should I purchase? Can I buy any slim internal burner ? Or is there a special drive format I should care about?

Thanks
