I have recently purchased an AC5300 (firmware 3.0.0.4.384_81695-gfade4d7) I am keeping an eye on usage of my devices and have noticed that periodically my Wored LAN throughput spikes down to zero. I don't know if this is genuine or a bug. I'm wondering if there may be something on my network that is sending out corrupt packets, or if it is something malicious or anything else or perhaps even a router issue.
I just wondered if anyone might have any clues where to start please, other than individually turning off each and every wired device to figure out which is causing it. That might sound easy, only 8 LAN ports, but I have tp-link powerline devices in the house also and the main one plugged into a router LAN port.
There is nothing in the router system log that coincides with these spikes (that I can see).
Any clues or ideas welcome please. ?
Second observation/issue
A slightly related note, using bandwidth monitor also shows WAN download speed of circa 4MB/S (first image) but in this picture attached I have a PS4 doing a download and it's showing 32.x MB/S in the individual clients and over view screen (my maximum) in the client list, why doesn't the WAN show 32/33 MB download in the traffic statistics ?
