    8x16gb of Corsair ram 3200mhz?

    I see in supported list: 4x32gb ram 3200mhz
    but there is no: 8x16gb ram 3200mhz

    I already have 4 sticks of 16gb ram and I want to buy 4 more. Anyone can confirm it works or not?
    (my mobo is Prime Trx40-pro S)

    You can see my specs on my profile to compare yours but I am running 4x16 Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO with a threadripper and at 3600 (not great latency though for some reason). Below is my THAIPHOON output in case that helps also.

    Something that is odd about my ram is that other folks THAIPHOON report for the same exact part number but that their DRAM Manufacturer is Samsung B but mine is Micron E (so maybe be sure to check before buying a second set to ensure they are exactly the same).

    It is not so simple. If you do not know yet that the ram often needs to be purchased as a set and will sometimes not work even if you buy 2 of the same set, then this is your first issue. Second will be if the ram has been tested to work at that quantity and size or you get lucky. There are many more complications you could face as well but I just tried to provide my experience to help.

    You could buy another set and try it out and return if it doesn't work out, but I believe it could be risky unless you have some experience doing this.

    In supported list have 1 kit of 4x16gb only but my current ram is 2 kits of 2x16gb and it's working.

    It might work...it might not...as has been said you should buy a single kit at the rated speed and density you want. Combining kits is a gamble.

    However if the CPU has a good IMC you might get away with 3200MHz

    I'm running a 2950X with CMW128GX4M8C3200C16, I had 8 sticks in and did all the necessary futsing aroung with the SOC voltage, the whole 9 yards it just would not work no matter what, downed it to 3000Mhz - NOPE. 4 Sticks will run at 2666 but above that you are overclocking the IMC and may start to get some very strange errors including.

    CPU Code 00.
    Boot failure with windows making statements that the signature on the drive does not match the install signature and to run a recovery ( DONT DO THIS).

    You might be lucky with the silicon lottery but again you might not , the IMC on the TR seems to be a little bit fussy.

    No big from my perspective though I'm just going to bang the other 64 Gig into another machine.

    You can run that kit on the 2950x at 2933 without issue from my experience. I also could do nothing to get it to 3000 or higher when you go with 128G.

    Sound like 8x16gb 3200mhz will work because my cpu is 3970x
