ROG Strix x570 - some fans not being picked up in bios? m2 fan for example

Not sure what to make of the fact that some fans are showing up as N/A in the bios menu

are you using 3 pin or 4 pin fans all my fans with 4 pin show up including the m.2 fan.

I just realized that there is a specific m2 fan port on the motherboard and that the fan on the motherboard is actually meant for the motherboard (not the m2)

It's a little confusing to have a m2 fan port when the m2s are below a heatsink

I am now configuring a ROG Strix X570-F and indeed the manual states that you need to connect the M.2 fan to the MB m.2. han header connector. However the M.2 are indeed below a heatsink and seem to have their own dedicated fan cable...?!

Why does this MB have a M.2 fan header connector? What am I missing?
