Bios update made OC unstable z390 prime-p

Updated bios to 2804 from 2606 and my OC now requires more voltage to be stable. It's a light OC on a 9600k set to 4.6ghz on all cores, nothing special since I'm still on a (good) low profile cooler form my previous sff build, but regardless of that, it was stable on bios 2606 and now it's not.
The 2804 update ironically states: improved system stability as the only note.
Could we get more information on what exactly has been done since this just makes me think I should downgrade to 2606 unless there is an actual good reason to keep 2804.

Encountered the exact same problem with my TUF Z390M motherboard, which evidently uses the same Bios, or is labeled the same at least. I too have a 9600k, and have had a very stable OC of 5.0GHZ @ 1.37v. After updating to 2804 Bios, OC settings were all over the place, and system regularly blue screened, even with optimized defaults set. I reverted back, v2804 is a mess. ASUS is way too vague on release notes.
