Multiple Crashes from AtkexComSvc.exe

Hi,

Checking the last events in the Windows 10 event viewer at the time my machine keeps unexpectedly rebooting , I keep finding this Windows service :

AtkexComSvc.exe

The machine crashes and reboots when this event occurs. Firstly, how can this make windows reboot, as each service is ring-fenced. Secondly - which apps are using this, and what for ? Is it used for the GPU Tuning app (monitor and GPU Tweak II) ?

Can someone tell me how to either un-install it, or change it to stop bringing down my entire system.

Machine Config
AMD Ryzen 3900x
Aorus x570 MB
64GB Corsair DDR4-3200
ASUS Super 2080 RTX Dual
Lots of MP600 NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSDs

Hi,

Just for the record as there is no reply.

I also got a couple of crashes like this while playing Witcher 3 and having HWInfo on in the background - I believe it's using some Asus DLLs to read some sensors.

I fixed the problem by not using HWInfo while playing that game 🙂 I also deleted that executable as I no longer have any Asus gear in my PC.

Good luck.
