[DRIVERS] NVIDIA GeForce GPU (6xx/7xx/8xx/9xx/10xx/16xx/20xx/30xx)
Hi everyone,
- NVIDIA GeForce GPU Drivers (DCH - Game Ready) :
Fixed Issues :
- [GeForce Experience]: The FPS counter is activated and the overlay appears on Windows Mail and Calendar applications. [200682565]
- [GeForce GTX 750 Ti]: Blue-screen crash (UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP) may occur. [3196164]
- [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti]: The desktop screen may flicker. [3200599]
- [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti]: The system may freeze with the screen displaying as solid color. [3203038]
- [HDR]: With HDR enabled, black levels are incorrect, notably on LG OLED TVs. [200682795/3201305]
- [Notebook][Lenovo Y740]: The notebook displays corruption after waking from sleep. [3178279]
- Blue-screen crash (0x116) may occur upon resuming from sleep mode when three 4k monitors are connected. [3054239/3195884]
Open Issues :
- [X4: Foundations][Vulkan]: The game may crash on GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. [3220107]
- [X4: Foundations][Vulkan]: HUD in the game is broken. [3169099]
- [Batman Arkham Knight]: The game crashes when turbulence smoke is enabled. [3202250]
- [Detroit: Become Human]: The game randomly crashes. [3203114]
- [Steam VR game]: Stuttering and lagging occur upon launching a game. [3152190]
- [G-SYNC][NVIDIA Ampere/Turing GPU architecture]: GPU power consumption may increase in idle mode on systems using certain higher refresh-rate G-SYNC monitors. [200667566]
- [YouTube]: Video playback stutters while scrolling down the YouTube page. [3129705]
- [Notebook]: Some Pascal-based notebooks w/ high refresh rate displays may randomly drop to 60Hz during gameplay. [3009452]
- [G-Sync][Vulkan Apps]: Performance drop occurs when using G-SYNC and switching from full-screen mode to windowed mode using the in-game settings. [200681477]
To workaround, either launch the game in windowed mode directly or disable G-SYNC.
- [GeForce RTX 3070][Clone Mode]: When the resolution is set to 2560x1440 @ 144Hz, the performance state is stuck at maximum performance. [200678414]
- [NVIDIA Turing or later][Windows Movies and TV Player]: When playing a 4k video in fullscreen mode on a 2560x1440 HDR monitor, the video extends beyond the edge of the screen. [3186830]
OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit 1803/RS4/17134.x or more recent.
Hardware requirements - Desktop : NVIDIA GeForce 6xx/7xx/9xx/10xx/16xx/20xx/30xx series GPU.
Hardware requirements - Notebook : NVIDIA GeForce 8xxM/9xxM/10xx/16xx/20xx/30xx series GPU or MX1xx/MX2xx/MX3xx series GPU.
TIPS :
If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).
If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_util_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).Last edited by MoKiChU; 01-07-2021 at 03:55 PM.

Hi,
Microsoft has already answered this (contained in the DirectX Dev Blog article about Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling that I linked just before) :
Why not have hardware accelerated GPU scheduling on by default for all users given all the care taken before a driver can expose this support?
Although we do a lot of validation through our Insider population, the number of system configurations and scenarios in the Insider population does not fully cover what can happen in our eco-system of more than a billion devices. Because hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is such a fundamental pillar of the graphics subsystem and used in absolutely everything that you do on your PC, we decided to introduce it initially as an opt-in to avoid any possible disruption. Users can opt-in through the UI and for new systems, OEM are encouraged to configure and validate their system with hardware accelerated GPU scheduling turned on from the factory.

FPS improvements mainly with DirectX 12 games, and faster game loading time.
Also, here is the presentation of this feature by NVIDIA :

thanks, the only DX12 games i have are BF franchise and unfortunately they are very unstable when one runs them under DX12, hence running them on DX11 as most users do.
will one still benefit from the above running DX11?
