Game Ready :

This new Game Ready Driver provides the best gaming experience for the latest new games supporting DLSS 3 technology including The Thaumaturge. In addition, this driver supports the beta release of NVIDIA App, which unifies GeForce Experience and the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Fixed Gaming Bugs :

  • The Talos Principle 2: Game stability issues when DLSS FG is enabled [4492121]

Fixed General Bugs :

  • Using NVENC to encode videos may result in corrupted videos or error message on GeForce GTX 16xx GPUs [4511046]
  • Steamwebhelper.exe blocking notebook display mode switch [4536504]

Open Issues :

  • [Netflix] Display issues for videos when using Edge browser. Recommend using Windows Netflix application as workaround [4388454]
  • GeForce GTX 10/RTX 20 series: PC may randomly freeze when Windows HardwareAccelerated GPU Scheduling and NVIDIA SLI are both enabled [4009884]


OS requirements : Windows 10 64 bit or more recent.
Hardware requirements : NVIDIA GeForce 9xx/10xx/16xx/20xx/30xx/40xx series GPU or NVIDIA Titan X/Xp/V/RTX GPU based graphics card.


TIPS :

If you want to manage the drivers (remove old/unused drivers for example) that you have in your Windows DriverStore
Use Driver Store Explorer (Right click on "Rapr.exe" > Run as administrator).

If you want better interrupts delivery latency
Enable MSI (Message Signaled-based Interrupts) mode on all your supported devices (see the column "supported modes") with
MSI Mode Utility (Right click on "MSI_Mode_Utility_v3.exe" > Run as administrator).

Enablement Process :

- Start/Restart your PC then press Del when the ROG/TUF/PRIME logo appears to enter in your BIOS :
- Press F7 to switch in Advanced Mode :

- Boot tab > CSM > Launch CSM : Disabled
- Boot tab > Secure Boot > OS Type : Windows UEFI Mode
- Advanced tab > PCI Subsystem Settings :

- Above 4G Decoding : Enabled

- Re-Size BAR Support : Auto


- Press F10 to Save & Exit
Enablement Check : Launch NVIDIA Control Panel > System information

Hi,

Microsoft has already answered this (contained in the DirectX Dev Blog article about Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling that I linked just before) :

Why not have hardware accelerated GPU scheduling on by default for all users given all the care taken before a driver can expose this support?

Although we do a lot of validation through our Insider population, the number of system configurations and scenarios in the Insider population does not fully cover what can happen in our eco-system of more than a billion devices. Because hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is such a fundamental pillar of the graphics subsystem and used in absolutely everything that you do on your PC, we decided to introduce it initially as an opt-in to avoid any possible disruption. Users can opt-in through the UI and for new systems, OEM are encouraged to configure and validate their system with hardware accelerated GPU scheduling turned on from the factory.


So, knowing that when you build your own PC (DIY), it's you the "OEM", so it's up to you to enable it (You are not obliged and there is nothing definitive, if you have the slightest issue you can disable it. For my part I have only improvements and no regression of perf/stability to deplore.)

so yet again we become beta testers for the multiple hardware manipulations that can be on the planet.. oh well.
have anyone found this useful for a gaming machine running GTX TI10xx and above?

You are not obliged and there is nothing definitive, if you have the slightest issue you can disable it.

For my part I have only improvements and no regression of perf/stability to deplore.

im not on 2004 yet even, as my system is not yet ready according to MS automation.
by improvements what exactly do you mean?

FPS improvements mainly with DirectX 12 games, and faster game loading time.

thanks, the only DX12 games i have are BF franchise and unfortunately they are very unstable when one runs them under DX12, hence running them on DX11 as most users do.
will one still benefit from the above running DX11?
