[Z490-I] Turn-off audio jack LEDs
Hi all,
I just bought a Z490-I motherboard and I'm very happy of it but I don't managed to turn-off audio jack LEDs located behind the MB (see picture)
I'm using my monitor's sound output hence it's projecting a big halo on the wall
I've searched in the BIOS settings and the Armoury crate software without success
I managed to turn all LEDs on the MB except for these ones
Did I miss something?
Any help would be appreciated :-)

This was asked not too long ago, don't think its possible for this particular motherboard.

You could also look for a "dust cover", which are readily available on Amazon. I'm considering that myself since I have an external USB DAC and use my front panel microphone jack...

I've been searching for something of this sort for a few days now. What I am unsure about is whether these sort of plugs activate the audio jack detection switches.

I found an easy solution.
I'd bought Noctua's Anti-vibration nails for mounting fans to PC cases. I hate threading screws into the unthreaded plastic of any case fan. So, I always use these anti-vibration nails. https://www.amazon.sg/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So, I cut down the unused ones and just repurposed them as anti-dust plugs. Cheers.
EDIT: And I can confirm they do not activate the internal audio jack detection switches. Nor do they get hot and melt.Last edited by Mountainlifter; 07-13-2020 at 02:52 PM.

Great solution! Better than gummy tape residue.

Does this shut off the lights or just cover them up. Trying to get these to off in Sleep State.
