Security update
- Fixed CVE-2020-12695 (CallStranger)
- Fixed Reflected XSS vulnerability.
- Fixed Directory traversal vulnerability.
- Fixed CVE-2017-15653.

The update server transport layer security was upgraded and the old protocol was removed.
If your router firmware version is lower than 3.0.0.4.384_81686, please refer to the "Update Manually" section in https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1008000 to update the firmware.

noticeable decrease in wifi speed again. I live in a 600 sqft apartment there's no reason why a 5ghz connection should have 2 bars and decreased speed. I wonder when this 400 dollar router will be worth it?

I have an RMA (getting a replacement router tmw) I've had nothing but issues with this thing.

After installing clean software Version 3.0.0.4.384.81974, the read speed from the disk max 16MB / s decreased. With the software version Version 3.0.0.4.384.81695 it was 80MB / s.

I have now returned to version 3.0.0.4.384.81695 and I still have 80MB / s reading from a USB 3.0 disk


Does anyone at ASUS check the correctness of the software or is there a tester?
New software appears to be unstable with many bugs.

Just loaded this firmware and now getting ntp sync error, no internet connection.

I have two AC5300 mesh node with AX11000, I update one of the AC5300 and did not find any drop in speed, lost connection. I am quite puzzle why everytime when Asus update firmware, some people was doing fine and some keep having problems. Like my AX11000 still having VPN issue but my neighbor never encounter it.

HI just looking for some help I took the new software up date now my wifi speed went from 350mb to 140mb on all channels been in contact with support gave me a list of thing to try but it got worst. Hook up my old modem back to 350mb. You said you put your software back to 3.0.0.4.384.81695 could you please tell me how you did that. Customer support wants me to ship it in I do not really want to ship it I am in Canada and shipping not cheap here it is still under warranty.
