I have 128GB installed. It is the same issue for me. Slot D1 stays Rainbow. Slot A1, B1, and C1 will change. In addition, if I turn off Aura in the BIOS, ram slot D1 stays lit in Rainbow but all of the other Aura leds on the MOBO ( to include ram slots A1, B1, and C1 ) will turn off like they are supposed to do. What heck?! This is a $900 board!
