im actually anticipating 1602 for the xi hero - wifi version to be out any moment so i can test its already out for the non wifi variant.

I don't Overclock my CPU, but I do use XMP profiles. I've been testing it all day long on XMP profile 2 (which is the profile with the tighter settings). This BIOS version has not crashed yet like it used to with all previous BIOS versions. I will update this thread if it does crash. I cannot say that this "XMP profile 2" issue has been fixed until after a week of testing.

I was able to save as a .CMO BIOS 1502 backup file to USB thumb driver an AI overclock with XMP 1 plus manually tightened RAM timings that worked well with BIOS 1502, and imported it to my system post updating to BIOS 1602. So far all is working well. I shall see if I can squeeze more out of tightening more RAM timings including tweaking some voltages just to see how stable this new BIOS runs with minimal voltages.
