Do I have a dead pixel on my new monitor?

Hi,

this just popped up on my PG349Q. Is it a dead pixel?

I only bought this monitor a couple of months ago, and I paid quite a bit for it too.

I am no expert at all.. But to me it looks like a damage to the filter? that is based on one of the pictures. I have had a similar thing on my replacement monitor I got (that I did RMA on) that was damage to the filter.
But well.. this might help or atleast give you some information. Hopefully a much more tech wise person can come and help you

It seems to be gone now overnight...

Will it return though?

Maybe.. There is no harm in doing a RMA. But you should remember that the new monitor will be a refurbished one, so it will not be a new.
That being said, remember to detail all the issues the monitor have. So go in and look for damage on the filter, look for dead pixels and backlight bleeding.

You could also call support and ask their advice. I have had a good time with support in my region, but it may differ for others, that I can´t say.
