Yip - your hard drive does not have a letter allocated to it. So what that means is you will see it in BIOS but not in OS.

I use Paragon freeware to assign letters to any hard drives that are not being picked up.

    nufc179,
Are you sure you use correct SATA port?
...real layout (SB950) of ports order are dífferent from how they are printed on MB or manual.

dos that same port you try to use, pickup any other device with same power and data cable?

Also make sure you don't have it plugged in to the Single SATA port on the board because that is for CD/DVD only.

Ah I did not know that your HDD was not being picked up by BIOS.

Change the SATA port and see if it is picked up.

If that HDD is working on other pc it seems to me that you have a compatibility problem between MB and HDD.
    Because both works fine individually.

What SMART results show of that HDD in that other PC where it seems to work?
