I personally prefer the looks of having a full size card in my big CaseLabs case, and since I do have a big liquid cooling loop, my 1080Ti Poseidon is a perfect fit. A single slot waterblock looks kinda small in there...
There's also the sense of "comfort" (lack of better word) knowing I won't have to risk warranty issues should there be any issues down the line. Since warranty is void when mounting a waterblock. At least in Sweden.
That said, if there aren't any news regarding a Poseidon soon I'll probably end up getting the Strix with blocks from EKWB and praying I'll never encounter any issues...

Looking at he new Asus 30-series model names listed on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website,.. is the mention of the new EK and KO series.
Neither of these codenames have been used by Asus before, it's possible that these could be watercooled variants, but we won't know until Asus officially announces what it has in store. https://portal.eaeunion.org/sites/od...b-530f96889dbcLast edited by Braegnok; 10-01-2020 at 04:02 AM.

Sorry, the Eurasian Economic Commission location is Moscow, Russia,.. and working language for administration is Russian.
VideoCards on 6th Sep 2020 published an article using EEC as source in English. https://videocardz.com/newz/gigabyte...o-launch-turboLast edited by Braegnok; 10-03-2020 at 02:49 AM.

Ah I see, thank you.
I just don't understand why they would wait to announce/release a Poseidon model. Why not release it at the same time as the others?
I did just order a 3080 strix, but there's a long delivery time so if Poseidon announce I can always change the order...

Thanks,
I unfortunately saw it a couple of weeks ago from EKs site and I'm not sure I'm impressed, It looks like it's just a reference card with preinstalled waterblock. I was hoping it would be more poweful than that. I mean regarding clockspeeds and so on. 2 power connects vs Strix 3 power connectors.
So it would depend on how well it performs vs a watercooled strix
The 1080Ti Poseidon had a slightly clock than 1080Ti Strix for example.

+1 not impressed with the design, no backplate.
I would preferer not having a 12-pin plug on the front of block, would have liked to see inlet/outlet on the front and the 12-pin on the right side, since they are basically building the PCB for the card those changes would seem posable.
