Ugh. I don't want to have to do that. Would be stuck at current windows version forever.
Memtweakit drivers are very unsecure, so it is finally caught up. Sigh.Last edited by geneo; 09-09-2020 at 04:08 PM.

It dynamically creates the temporary driver cpu135_x64,sys in appdata/local/temp and tries to load it. Windows blocks it from loading.
I'm pretty confident we won't see a fix for this from Asus.

Just a heads up incase anyone runs into this.
If you are unable to uninstall the update, I am thinking it is linked to doing a disk clean up.
As I had uninstalled the update and turn off auto updates but it must timed out on the pause updates as it installed the update again and then I did a disk clean up. Now the update cannot be uninstalled even via CMD and any other method I tried.

So you going to stay at that Window's version?
I tried disabling the Windows exploit protections settings for this app that are responsible for such blocks, but all it did stop stop the reporting of the windows events.
It is blocking the app because memtweakit generates and tries to load dynamic code, which is a malware tactic. Unless this is a mistake in the app Exploitation overrides by Microsoft, which I doubt, then I expect Microsoft will not bud. I imagine this would be a pretty big effort by Asus to properly fix this, and since memtweakit appears to be no longer fully supported, I am thinking it is toast. That is too bad since there is no other app that provides all of this information (even the the Asrock utility). I wish Asus would properly support it.

No I normally do not use memtweakit. I just use it when testing new memory and mobo settings for quick changes in Windows. Once I have a system setting stable and set via bios I uninstall all apps like memtweakit, Asrock timing etc.
Doing a google search I see the new update is effecting/breaking other things for some people, like the start menu, Linux subsystem etc. So I would expect there will be an update coming with fixes/changes coming. Not saying it will fix the memtweakit issue just that there are issues with the update.

Nope. Windows is blocking a driver from loading. Expect the problem is on Asus's end. Could not find a workaround.
