I can not update the chipset driver

Hello

I currently have chipset driver version 1914.12.0.1256 and I wish to update to latest driver version which is currently 1952.14.0.1470 but every time I double click on update driver it gives a fatal error message. Please attached pictures and please can you explain a fix to update to the latest driver version.

I have tried installing as administrator. Uninstalling the current driver rebooting and installing from new no matter what I do this driver does not seem to want to update even using EZ FLASH UTILITY nothing seems to be able to update this chipset driver.

Only conclusion I can draw is maybe I have a faulty motherboard can you explain why I can not update the current chipset driver to the new version or is theer another way to force the chipset driver update.

Thank you

I will look forward to your reply.

Hello

When you install Windows 10, you must do it disconnected from the internet by choosing an offline account. Then install all the motherboard drivers before connecting to the Internet and switching to your Microsoft account. Because Windows update installs a Chipset driver dated in such a way that it cannot be updated anymore.

Probably explains why Asus EZ Update never works on updating chipset driver.

But the question then is which is best - MS version or the latest driver? Mine is stuck at 10.1.1.38 and there appears to be no problem.

Install the system after unplugging the internet cable or not connecting to wifi

Thank you and it is appreciated receiving this information I did not realise to disconnect from the internet when installing the drivers that came with the motherboard this also explain why I cannot install the wifi drivers either what a nuisance and you have no idea how you helped me understand why this was happening as it was driving me to insanity.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to my cry for help in solving this matter of updating the chipset driver. You have no idea how I appreciate your advice and help I was even supplied with a chipset driver update.
I am sorry for the very late reply you have helped in ways you will never understand and I am eternally grateful for your help thank you restsugavan & cekeu thank god for guys like you and everyone else who has replied been having problems computer running really slow since the 2004 windows update.

If the new chipset driver which restsugavan sent me I will more than likely do a fresh install of windows and install everything from new following cekeu advice.
I’ll report back in a week to see if things start becoming less slow. I have run antivirus malware every scan you can think about and I am virus and malware free I just think it is this windows update as the internet is full of people complaining how slow the computer is since this update.

Anyway, I’ll report back and next time I do a clean install Ill do it by totally disconnecting from the internet it proves you do learn something new every day.

Thank you guys you have all been a life save very grateful for the help . 😄

Don't worry about ASUS Download page. Use this link below instead to update your system.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/blasfkcn6jqn6ip/file
Extracting the files on folder then choose file " Install_MESW " right click run as "admin".
After everything done. Restart once , Your rigs will be update already as picture above
