What is the difference? RTX 3090 Strix Vs RTX Strix 3090 OC
Hello.
I got a lucky ordre on a RTX 3090 Strix, But I can see there is also a version that is called RTX 3090 Strix OC.
what is the difference?
THE PCB, anything should be the same, as I can see the only difference is that the Strix OC just come with a higher OC out of the box, and that is the only thing? you can even put the Strix OC bios on the Strix card I guss? as it is the same card?

OC means Overclocked.

I know, but that is not my Qustion, that is the design of the PCB. as I can see the power design/PCB everything should be the same, the other version is just OC out of the box I guss? Originally Posted by Jesseinsf

OC one is clocked at higher speed out of the box.

I'd like to know this too, does the OC model literally come with an OC in the BIOS (100mhz or so) which can easily be replicated in MSI Afterburner for the standard Rog Strix 3090? The OC version is overclocked higher out of the box than the standard versions. Otherwise, everything else is the same.

I dont know about rumours, however Ive ordered a 3090 non-OC strix card from Scan-UK as soon as it went live, and was told my queue placement is 19th. This was on 24th September... My queue placement now is still 19th. Which means Scan hadnt received any non-oc strix 3090s. It would seem silly to me to only manufacture the OC models and begin with the non-oc once the demand is met? Does anyone know anything more? Originally Posted by ludyy85

you should be able to flash the BIOS of an OC RTX 3090 to a Strix RTX 3090 but you might not get the same OC because the OC models have binned GPUs and possibly better overclockable VRAM chips out of the box. It is like my Strix GTX 1080TI can be cross-flashed with the OC model [and lots of people have done it] but with similar limitations.
