I was facing exactly identical issue like the user above this post.
Your specs:
- Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi
- M2_1: WD Black SN850 500GB NVME PCIe 4.0 as boot
- M2_2: WD Black SN750 1TB NVME PCie 3.0 as a data drive
- No other storage devices in the system
My specs:
- Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi
- M2_1: WD Black SN750 1TB NVME PCIe 3.0 as boot
- M2_2: WD Black SN700 500GB NVME PCie 3.0 as a data drive
- WD sata 10tb internal drive
same issue, m.2 slot 2 SSD disconnects after sleep resumes.
Just like you, I 've done all troubleshooting and after 4-6 days of playing with various settings nothing worked.
Even tried updating the BIOS to latest beta version and even swapping the SSD's.
What worked for me is - I installed Samsung 980 1 TB Nvme 3.0 drive in M.2 slot 2, issues resolved.
Seems like 2nd slot didn't liked the WD.

Hello there!
I was searching Google when I found this thread!
I have this issue with my secondary NVME on which I have only data.
My system is ASUS ROG Z370-G WIFI that is an Intel board, and the nvme is the FireCuda 520 PCIe 4.0 1Tb
Every time I get out from Windows sleep, I see the drive for just a sec, then disappears.
I have then to reboot system so to see it normally again.
Is the culprit known?
Is there a solution?
Thank you.

Fixed with BIOS 2423 update
I was having the same issue. Strix B550-i Gaming with a Sabrent Rocket 4.0 SSD. Never could wake from sleep properly, would just black screen.
Upgraded to BIOS Version 2423 and it's been fixed!
Not sure if it was AMD or Asus who fixed it, but thank you!

I have done some tests. Here is a post I made in another thread: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...521#post843521
I think it is related to the fact that if the monitor is turned off, the external PCIe GPU is not revealed to be functioning, and so the system tries to go for the internal GPU located onto the CPU, but as there is no monitor plugged in it, it ends up giving the no-display beep signal.
The strange thing is that if I forgot to turn on the monitor before or while booting up, and the GPU check is triggered, even if it goes to beep, turning on the monitor it shows the desktop, like if the no-display check/beep happens without any real cause.Last edited by piratino; 12-20-2021 at 07:38 PM.
