Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. I provide the information for my solution here for anyone else who might be facing the same problem as us.
Upon seeing Red Butterflies's solution, I tried to look for the same KB4579311, but I cannot find it in my system. I think this is because my Windows 10 version and os build is different from his. For reference, mine is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 1909 OS Build 18363.1139.
However, seeing that it might be related to a previously installed Windows Update, I started a process to slowly uninstall updates one by one. The first one I tried is KB4577671. After uninstallation of this Windows update, I rebooted the computer and tried to install the Asus drivers of Xonar U7 MKII (XonarU7MKII_Setup_1.1.18) again. It just worked!!! I got lucky and got the 'right' KB on the first try.
Screenshots below to show that the driver has been installed.
While I am not 100% sure that my KB is the right one, I will suggest anyone who is facing this issue to systematically uninstall your Windows Update one by one to find the right one. Uninstall one, reboot computer, try to install driver. If cannot, uninstall another one, reboot computer, and try to install driver again, etc.
For those who have either Red Butterflies's KB number or mine, you MAY want to start with ours, but you bear the risks involved because I really think you should start uninstalling from the most previous updates to minimise the chances of hitting problems.
Anyway, thanks again to Red Butterflies for pointing me in the right direction and I hope our solutions will reduce some headaches for other people. Thank you!

Any update on this? Its been months. They updated the strix software but not the xonar. Don't think we should have to uninstall windows updates because asus is too lazy to keep their software updated.
