Chipset versions ASUS vs AMD, two different versions.

I noticed the chipset version was different from the one on AMD's website:

AMD Version: 2.10.13.408 - 10/19/2020
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570

Asus Version: 2.09.28.509 - 10/27/2020
https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-crosshair/rog-crosshair-viii-hero-wi-fi-model/helpdesk_down...
Download link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_Chipset_AMD_AM4_TP_W10_64_V20928509_20201027R.zi...

I'm not really sure which one is best, or if it even makes a difference. Will we see a change from using one over the other?
Am i mistaken, and these are two different things?

Always use the AMD chipset drivers.

What's the reasoning behind this? Does ASUS release an inferior version for some purpose?

I was told to always use the chipset drivers from your motherboard manufacter

That was my initial thought, but I can't find any information to confirm which one is preferable.

Manufacture has to go through verification of drivers for each motherboard and it takes longer but very rarely has anything additional or better and always LAGS behind the current chipset drivers.

AMD chipset driver go through Microsoft verification and/or AMD verification and are always most up-to-date and work best with current AGESA BIOS (which is largely written by AMD)

You asked for an answer and gave it, use AMD chipset drivers or don't. Have to wonder why ask in the first place, you already know what is best, why ask? Strange behaviour.

I asked because I wasn't aware of the information you just provided and had no idea which one is going to be best, just a hunch - which i can't rely on.
behavior was actually fairly standard.
