Hero XI bios 1704
Since updating the bios from 1602 to 1704 I now get a Kernel Power error 137 on returning from sleep mode. Error reads,The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance. I don't have fast boot in windows enabled or hibernation. Running 20H2 build 19042.610. Bios set exactly as it was with 1602. Can't for the life of me think why this is happening. As far as I know S4 is hibernation, which like I said is disabled.
Anyone with any input would be most welcome.
Edit :- the problem is this new bios. Tried win 1909, same error on returning from sleep. Went back to bios 1602 and no problems. So something is screwed with 1704 on my board. Any one else affected on returning from sleep mode ?.Last edited by no1yak; 11-08-2020 at 02:17 PM.

Hey guys,
i have the same issue since flashing to the new bios.
After hibernate my pc will restart and not resume properly.
Is there a fix? or do we have to wait for ASUS and a new bios?

Mixed Results:
1602 bios: 3900 C16 stable @1.3V; 4000 C16 stable @1.5V; 4100 C17 often fails to post
1704 bios: 3900 C16 now requires 1.4V; 4000 C16 not stable anymore; BUT 4100 C17 stable @ 1.45V; I even managed to post @4200 C18 for the first time

Nice for u, but it's help nothing all the other user with problem BIOS1704- if u have brain, u have to know that in the world gives different RAMs - ohh hahaha i need every time "new" RAMs if ASUS gives a new BIOS release, my Corsair-RAM have 1.350v and now 1.50v for what (but with 1.50v only 1 time boot), but before it runs perfect with XMP from all other BIOS-version. "mama mia" why i need to test all new features from the new BIOS, in 20 years ago it was difficult to set-up the BIOS right, but in 2020 it need more simple to OC the system and stabil, bcs. all brands advertise with it, i know what to do, but not with this BIOS 1704 and it's faulty, finish, u will see that it comes fast a new BIOS like 1806, but its better to delete BIOS 1704 from the ASUS-site ;(
I have the i9 9900ks too and i come to 5.5GHz ( i have luck to buy this piece of jewelry-cpu) but for my Audio-Workstation i use the AUTO-BIOS with 5.0GHz. ASUS is a good brand, its every time the same **** in worldwide-forum's --> "Question: "I have a problem" Answer: I have not, my pc can now fly" sarcasm is my answer . . .
